okay, i've been watching a bunch of the older MST3K episodes. i guess i'm more of a mike fan. it seems like the joel episodes, especially those with the original servo are pretty flat. i mean, in some instances, they're just reading the screen titles in a goofy voice. this is comedy?

so, are there any older episodes that are especially good? for reference, some of my favorite eps are "mitchell", "girl in the golden boots", and the feature film "this island earth".

I find it that Mike episodes were better as well.

i'm actually not harcore against joel or anything, it just seems like the original servo wasn't as funny as the newer guy.

I think Joel, for a while there, was put on this rediculous pedestal that he didn't belong on. I rebelled against him because of that. MST3K generally is pretty great regardless.

for werd.

i didn't really care for that the film crew: giant of marathon dvd i bought. maybe i'd have liked their killers from space treatment, though. on the other hand, i did enjoy mike's comedy commentary on the colorized/b&w night of the living dead disc that came out a few years ago. a little one-sided, but it was still clever.

i also like the joe bob briggs comedy tracks i've heard; the chooper and samurai cop.
