wow. i've just finished the first part of les enfants du paradis, and i feel high.
no, it's not mindbendingly abstract, or an assault of wall-to-wall weirdness. maybe listening to foreign tongue has me hypnotized, though. or perhaps, just perhaps, i see myself in a few of these characters. the cold bastard who embraces his fate, the old fool who thinks he's good at everything, the verbose performer who's content to accept the superficial, the tortured dreamer who wants what he can't have and could have what he doesn't want...
yeah, it's a good movie. back to it.
